Interests & volunteering

Life beyond
the keyboard.

Away from work, I spend time in the mountains, volunteer in airsoft and go to the gym. Here's a bit more about each.

01 / Mountains & sky

Fresh air.
A different perspective.

I love the mountains, open skies and the sense of freedom. Snowboarding, hiking and paragliding are all part of that.

Sometimes it's snow under the board, sometimes a trail or a view from the air. I'm happy to leave the screen behind for any of them.

A little mountain air.
A paraglider with a green wing above a grassy slope, with clouds and mountains beyond
A different kind of freedom.

02 / Airsoft

In the game.
And giving back.

I've played airsoft competitively in the NSL. I'm also a referee for the NABV's DSL competition.

Since , I've been a volunteer marshal on the CQB (close-quarters battle) field at Combat City Leiderdorp. I also help out with their speedsoft arena.

Refereeing, marshalling and helping with the arena are all on a voluntary basis.

03 / Gym

Less sitting.
More moving.

I go to the gym to move and take a break from the desk.
